Kimmy started out as an apprentice at the now-defunct Studio IX, a wedding photography company based in Makati City. After attending workshops by Luis Liwanag, Alex Baluyut, and the Photojournalists’ Center of the Philippines, she became a freelance photojournalist, with her work appearing on the Philippine Daily Inquirer, Inquirer.net, InterAksyon, Rappler, ABS-CBN News, Manila Today, and Vera Files.
She is currently a Southern Luzon correspondent for the Philippine Daily Inquirer, and a contributor to LiCAS.news.
She co-founded The Alternative, an online magazine that features the local underground music and art scenes, subcultures, and counterculture.
Kimmy is open to doing collaborative projects and commissioned work.
